“Ever wondered what it feels like to brawl on the beat? This dead drummer's one-night revenge welds melee to a concert's pulse and lets you drop your own playlist into the fight — the main story just runs three hours and needs time to grow.”

評測總結

A Three-Hour Story, One Killer Hook, And A Game Still Growing

Dead as Disco is one of those 2026 indie games where the pitch is so clean you get it in five seconds: martial arts, rhythm, neon, revenge, and boss fights that play like full music videos you have to survive with your fists. And that hook is the reason it works. You’re not just clearing a boss health bar. You’re performing the song. Every punch, kick, dodge, and combo is tied into the track, so winning a fight feels like you actually finished the number.

That’s the part I keep coming back to. Hi-Fi Rush is still the obvious comparison, because that game basically became the modern benchmark for beat-driven action. But Dead as Disco takes a different swing. Hi-Fi Rush gives you fixed tracks and builds around them. Dead as Disco lets the music define the fight, and then goes further with custom music import for MP3, WAV, and OGG files. That means you can bring your own playlist into the game and let it generate rhythm combat around it. When that clicks, it’s ridiculous. It turns “one more run” into “okay, but what happens if I throw this song at it?”

The catch is, this is Early Access, and you feel that. The main story is roughly three hours, and the handcrafted level pool starts to repeat once the surprise wears off. So no, this isn’t the game you buy today if your whole standard is “I need a big, finished, content-stuffed package right now.” It’s not that. What you’re buying is a very strong foundation that’s still putting on muscle. And for me, that’s why the 7.8 out of 10 makes sense. The highs are real. The ceiling is exciting. But the current version is not pretending to be massive.

Buy It For The Beat, Wait If You Need The Full Album

Here’s who should jump in now: if you love fast action games, if Sifu’s pressure made your brain light up, if Hi-Fi Rush got you chasing cleaner timing, or if you’re the kind of person who hears a song and immediately thinks, “I could fight to this,” Dead as Disco is absolutely aimed at you. The combat has that silky freeflow feel where you can still play if you miss the beat, but when you nail the timing, the whole thing starts singing. That’s a smart choice. It doesn’t slam the door on action players who aren’t rhythm-game freaks, but it still rewards the people who want to live on the beat.

The presentation helps a lot, too. This neon disco-punk look isn’t just there to look cool in screenshots. Floors pulse. Light rigs hit with the music. The stage itself becomes rhythm feedback. And the soundtrack, sitting around 27 to 30 tracks, isn’t background noise. It shapes the choreography. That’s the difference between “music in an action game” and “music as the fight.” Dead as Disco understands that difference.

But if you’re the player who wants to buy once, finish once, and feel like you got a complete meal, I’d wait. Multiplayer co-op is listed in the broader mode picture, but it’s not playable at launch yet, and that matters if you were hoping to make this a couch or online party game day one. There’s also some slight input latency on drags and certain moves, and on higher difficulty, tiny timing issues get loud fast. So my advice is simple: buy now if you’re here for combat, music, custom tracks, and replaying songs until you look stylish. Wait for updates if you mainly care about finished content volume. The game isn’t a shrunken final product. It’s a sharp, loud, very promising Early Access build that already knows exactly what makes it special.
