Assetto Corsa Competizione: Rally pushed its 0.4 update live with two '90s rally legends—the Peugeot 306 Maxi and Subaru Impreza S3—plus snow physics now covering Alsace and Wales stages.

Both cars are pure nostalgia for anyone who remembers Group A rallying. The 306 Maxi and Impreza S3 deliver that mechanical rawness you won't find in modern electronic-assist machines. Snow expansion means Alsace and Wales finally get winter conditions, which should make four-player drift sessions properly chaotic. The update also adds 12 new events.

The physics rework matters more than the car roster. Kunos brought in M-Sport WRC driver John Armstrong to retune tire behavior, aero, and suspension. Official line is "smoother vehicle dynamics and more stable feedback"—basically, cars handle less floaty, closer to actual rally feel.

The wildest part: this game just became the official platform for FIA's Global Rally eSports Tour. There's now a dedicated in-game competition mode serving as online qualifiers, meaning your dorm room sessions could theoretically lead to international competition. Realistically most of us won't make it, but the possibility alone is compelling.
