PS Plus May Lineup Gets 46% Dislike Rate as Players Voice Disappointment
PlayStation Plus adds several games on May 5, but a pushsquare poll of 2,112 participants shows 46% are disappointed or consider the lineup outright trash, while 43% say not a single game this month is worth their time.

Closing that poll tab left an uneasy feeling. Not because the games themselves are terrible, but because this collective disappointment feels like slow erosion—you can sense the player base's patience wearing thin. 22% said they're disappointed, 24% went straight to calling it "garbage." That's nearly half.

The 43% figure is more troubling. Four in ten subscribers scanned the lineup and couldn't find a single game worth downloading. This isn't about one bad title—it's an entire month's offering failing to connect. Where Winds Meet and FC 26 might have their strengths, but clearly neither resonates with the majority of paying subscribers. Only 19% are basically satisfied, 14% very satisfied, and 19% find the selection acceptable—that's barely half showing any positive response.

The real risk for PS Plus isn't one bad month—it's several mediocre months in a row creating a pattern. Subscribers don't cancel over a single letdown, but when disappointment becomes routine, that "maybe next month will be better" hope evaporates. What's concerning isn't just this poll's numbers, but how much effort Sony will need to reverse this perception once it solidifies.
If you're considering renewal, wait for June's lineup before committing. Subscription services live or die on consistent quality, not occasional standout months. When nearly half your user base is shaking their heads, waiting makes sense.
