Valve's new controller is coming! Encrypted video exposed, already in the United States
Brothers! Valve is at it again!
Recently, Valve secretly uploaded an encrypted video on Steam's backend, titled "Steam Controller Unboxing 2026". I know this move all too well - classic Valve-style teasing! Every time they pull these mysterious stunts, it means good stuff is really coming soon.

Here's the key point! Shipping records show that large batches of "wireless PC controllers" have already arrived in the United States. This isn't just rumors - it's actual logistics information. Originally, Valve planned to launch three hardware products in early 2026: a new controller, Steam Machine mini console, and Steam Frame wireless VR headset. But! Due to global storage and DRAM component shortages, the latter two devices have been forced to delay.

The good news is that the controller doesn't rely on those scarce high-end storage components, so the production line hasn't been significantly affected. So this time the controller will likely launch first, while the Steam Machine and VR headset will have to wait until late 2026. Honestly, I'm pretty satisfied getting the controller first - after all, the Steam Deck's control scheme is really well done.

The new controller also comes with a dedicated wireless receiver called Puck, which is a thoughtful design. For PC gamers, a good controller can greatly enhance the gaming experience. Especially for action games and racing games - keyboard and mouse just don't deliver that feel.

My advice is, if you're a heavy Steam user, this controller is worth paying attention to. While Valve is slow with hardware, the quality has always been solid. Steam Deck is the best proof - who in the handheld market doesn't recognize this big brother now? The new controller inherits Deck's control logic, so it should be easy to pick up.
Now we just wait for Valve's official announcement, which should come in the next few weeks. Once the price is out, we'll see how the value proposition looks. Anyway, I'm planning to get one - what about you guys?
