The latest arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues to escalate at an intense pace, as a new force surpassing all previous villains pushes Konoha to the brink of destruction once again.

Looking back, Konoha has endured countless conflicts, but Pain's Six Paths invasion remains its most devastating memory. Pain alone leveled the entire village, and had Tsunade not fought desperately to protect it, both ninja and civilians alike would have perished. Ultimately, Naruto stepped up to defeat Pain, and through sheer force of will, convinced him to revive all who had died. The subsequent Fourth Great Ninja War barely touched Konoha directly, as the fighting took place far from the village.

The current crisis rivals — or even surpasses — the severity of Pain's assault. Faced with the Divine Tree Person's threat, Shikamaru makes a decisive call: use Eida as bait to lure all of the Divine Tree Person's clones to a single location, then concentrate the village's full combat strength for a head-on confrontation.
