Hamster's Console Archives line is adding Toukidenshou: Angel Eyes, the female-only fighting game originally developed by Tecmo—now Koei Tecmo—to PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 13, 2026, priced at 1200 yen.

The hook is immediate if you're into obscure fighting-game history: a Tecmo-era bishoujo fighter that hit arcades in 1996 and got a 1997 port to a 32-bit home console.

The premise is eight angels. You control one, fight the other seven, and vie for the archangel's seat. The entire cast is female—a deliberate hook that still makes the game stand out.

The port isn't a bare arcade dump. It keeps the home-console version's story mode and practice mode intact, which is what gives the 1997 release its identity. Hamster is also adding the usual Console Archives conveniences: button mapping, display options, and save/load anywhere. Those features matter more than they sound for a 30-year-old fighter.

At 1200 yen, it's a low-risk pickup for retro fighting-game fans, Tecmo diehards, or anyone curious about 1990s arcade character design. If you mainly want modern online play, a polished competitive scene, or a major balance overhaul, this isn't aimed at you.

Console Archives' real value is keeping old hardware history playable rather than reimagined. That's exactly what this port is: the 1997 console release, intact, with just enough modern polish to justify the shelf space.
