Compared to its own predecessor, the original Zero Dawn, this sequel thickens the combat, traversal, and sheer scale across the board, which makes the costs easier to forgive. Where the first game proved the concept, this one fills it out, and almost every system that felt thin before now has real depth behind it.

Clear those hurdles and what you get is a hard-quality work that's well suited to long-term investment. So, is it worth your time? Yes. The condition is that you're willing to accept it isn't fast food you swallow in one bite, but a hearty, generous full meal you have to eat slowly. It won't dazzle you with every single mouthful, but finish the whole thing and you'll feel full, and satisfied. Settle in, take your time, and let the Forbidden West do its slow, deliberate work on you. Go in expecting a marathon rather than a sprint, and it will reward the patience with one of the most complete open worlds on the platform.
