02

A new result takes time to generate while GameGeekAI compares candidates and writes the explanations. Existing results are usually faster to open. Sign in to receive an email when your result is ready.

How recommendations are selected

Why This Tool

Gameplay tags and player review statistics

Candidates come from games in our catalog, using gameplay tags and aggregate review signals such as review counts. The AI explains the selected candidates; it does not read every individual review on each request.

Detailed gameplay tags

Specific tags can distinguish gameplay more clearly than broad labels such as Action. GameGeekAI gives rarer shared tags more weight when finding candidates.

Reasons for each recommendation

Each recommendation explains the shared mechanics, key differences and intended audience.

FAQ

FAQ
How are the picks chosen?
The tool first finds candidates in our catalog using gameplay tags and aggregate player review statistics. Rarer shared tags carry more weight. GameGeekAI then compares mechanics, themes and player appeal, selects up to 12 games and explains what is similar, what differs and who each game suits.
Why is the second visit to the same game faster?
Previously generated recommendations and explanations can be reused, so they are usually faster to open. When the basis for the recommendation changes, a new result may need to be generated.
How current are the prices on the cards?
The page requests prices separately from the saved recommendations and explanations. Price availability and updates vary by store, and a request can take time or fail. Confirm the final price, edition and regional restrictions at the store.
Why do some games return no picks?
Games that are not yet catalogued, have limited tag data or have too few player reviews may not provide enough candidates for recommendations. In that case, no recommendations are generated.
